Depending upon the season you can opt for the plants which grows in that particular season you can get them from any nearby nursery. Also, you can go with the annuals such as Marigold, Alyssum, Candytuf, Pansies, Asters, Phlox, Salvia, Zinnia, Poppies, Delphiniums, Carnations and  Snapdragons etc. Biennials such as Canterbuny bulb, Scabiosa, Gladiolus etc. or Perennials such as Chrysanthemum, Solidago, cerbera etc. Whereas,  shrubs and climbers are always a good option for creating any sort of garden as they give a garden greener look and any artificial structures can be decorated with these climbers.


There are different shape, size and types of planters available today in the market you can choose any among them. Remember, you can give these planters your own creative touch.

Planting media/soil

For creating a balcony garden it is always advisable to choose light soil or it would better to buy good potting soil. An all-purpose mix soil is good to go with all the plants but certain range of plants might need different potting media.  A good start will give you a happy ending.
